Oh Dear, What Can the Matter Be

OH, DEAR WHAT CAN THE MATTER BE BARRY STEBBINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh, dear, what can the matter be? 
I hope I can flatter thee.
Now, what will my patter be, Barry Stebbings?
The suggestion you proffered, interestingly,
evokes happy memories, I decree!
I am so hoping that you too will agree, Barry Stebbings?
When I first met my now wife
she was suffering much strife,
thoughts of ending her life, Barry Stebbings.
Oh, dear, what can the matter be?
So I asked, she told me, her family.
All sorted, indeed, we did marry, Barry Stebbings!
Oh, dear, what can the matter be?
Nothing now but thanks, seriously
for evoking a beautiful happy memory, Barry Stebbings!
