Oh Carolina

Northern at heart and in blood
But
Southern in my soul
I embrace the gift of being here
Warm sun on my face
A new neighbors grace
So much to embrace
As I breathe the clean air
Trees sway in the breeze
The birds flying with ease
Palm trees growing to please
Awaking to life in paradise
Life here will suffice

I like this poem. It has a good use of rhyme.
