Oh Bethlehem
Oh Bethlehem!
In the little town of yours
Was born the Prince of Peace.
No bed, no room,
To welcome a child…
Only a manger would open its door.
The Virgin Mary, Holy Mother of Jesus…
Given birth in a humble manger,
To the King of all Kings,
Who will grant us salvation…by one offering.
Oh Bethlehem!
In the little town of yours,
In a manger beside an inn…
A child is asleep,
To grow to save the world
With His own flesh and blood.
In a peaceful silence…
With his head on hay:
A crib, offered as a bed.
The Baby Child sleeps,
Gentle and calm.
The Son of God, has born.
Merry Christmas to all the soupers!
The time now in Sri Lanka is 1.31 a.m., on December 25, 2018. Just arrived home from church after the Midnight Mass of Christmas Eve.
