Off With Their Heads
Through the looking glass they
traveled, to Wonderland they went.
They stepped foot in the land
where dragonflies breathe real fire and
lakes are made of marshmallow.
The queen before her crown and Knave before
he moved on, before he stole her heart.
Enter:
little Alice, she stole Knave’s attention and
fell in love with the man.
Now the queen wants them both,
alive or dead, hoping to settle the score.
Catch the head to earn a free dinner,
What a promise from the Queen
Her power grows with each soul taken
As the body count adds up,
there’s only two she really wants to see:
Little Alice and Strapping Knave.
Queen’s heart falters when she hears his name
All the feelings she had, locked away like the genie
in the bottle, rush up and threaten her control.
Leave:
Alice to her home, England
Knave drowns his heartbreak with hookah and liquor
He risked his life to make her happy,
betrayed all those close to him
and received nothing in return.
Now the queen wants them both,
alive or dead, hoping to settle the score.
She pins poster in the Tulgey Wood:
“Catch their heads and earn a free dinner!”
She smiles and waits as Wonderland holds its breath.
“Come indeed little Alice, he’s forever mine.”
