Of Whom I Speak

Tormentors come and harassment seeks.
They prey upon the frail and weak.
Attention seekers another plot.
They place their bets and cast down lots.
Derangement speaks down from the fold.
They fight the years but still grow old.
Doublespeak deceitful truth.
Stumpage shown from inner booth.

We are suppose to gain wisdom with age, but it seems, according to your poem, that some of the sheep in the fold tend to turn black. Maybe I'm a lost sheep in understanding this one? lol
