They're the greatest of life lessons.
And they happen each and every day.
We must make mistakes; we need them.
We need them like we need food.
We need to imbibe them like we do
our favorite beverage.
Mistakes are natural bumps in the road.
They simply occur; an incontrovertible truism.
I overcame mine by not dwelling on them.
I came to terms with the ones I made in the past;
forgave myself my transgressions, and let them
stay and rot in my rearview mirror.
Mistakes are necessary, you see. I gained
infinite wisdom from old mistakes
of mine; they made me keenly aware
of my own foibles in the process.
I became a better and wiser human as a result.
They gave me perspective.
As long as we have breath within us,
we'll continue to make mistakes.
It's a fact we must all be at peace with.
The quicker we move on from our mistakes
the better; there's much more to be made.
We live and we learn.
