_____________________________________________________________________________

With all memories, time comes and goes. Like a giant river, it gathers speed. Toward the great inevitable - it flows. Can we possibly recall our every deed? So many recollections haunt my mind. Some, however, are not remembered, and if my soul had limbs, perhaps I’d find certain memories have been dismembered. Sometimes I’m told stories of things involving me: tales I don't recall - like a poem with no rhythm and no rhyme. My parts in these plots have simple got to be “memories buried in the wavering wash of time.”

thanks, Ink. I am talking about random memories like my sisters will recall incidents from our childhood and I totally have no recall of that happening. It's funny how we remember some things but not others!! You can do a haiku. I am finding them easier and easier to write!

Yes, memories get buried sometimes because they are painful or seemingly not necessary. They say they are still there like things in the computer are still there. Sometimes we can only remember the bad and sometimes we remember the good and bury the bad. I have lived 80 years now and there is no way that I can remember every moment. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K

The memory plays havoc when at old age, you forget your own name or spouse's name. Still it keeps on coming back, you have to be patient, Very nice poem.

After my illness in 2023, I have a bit of amnesia, especially with words.
