Notes About The Poem

I sure hope I put no E's in this lipogram poem. So difficult to do this!! Please, anyone, let me know if you spot an E in my poem!

Of Land, Air and Aqua

Lollygagging scaly lizards lying on dry land;
Tiny slimy sluggish snails crawling in long trails;
Small stygian scorpions springing up from sand
to kill with fast-slashing claws and horrid stinging tails!

Big outlandish parrots saucy and too shrill -
not as any owls I know, hoot-hooting all through night.
Calling from a willow’s limb – a tawny whippoorwill;
Sailing high in big sky – cardinals so bright!

Myriad magical fish with a colorful glow;
Scuba way down low; look at what coral fish can do.
Most playful of animals aquatic – do you know?
Burly, gray, and brainy – dolphins clap for you!

Congratulations on your win. A cute one with your lizards, parrots and magical fish. As a kid I wanted 2 dolphins for pets. Enjoy your win and day.....................

Extremely deservedly earned weeeeeen! Impressive lines, Andrea. Your poem has a rich, alive essence. Reader can hear the screeching, buzz, alertness of pictured critters.

Hi Andrea, I'm only saying this because you asked, but I spotted an 'E' in the word 'like', line 6. Otherwise E-less. There may still be time to revise. Wonderful write, with rhymes and all. Best wishes in the contest. ~ John

I can't believe it. I tried SO hard to spot e's!! Well, I can't take it out and re-enter it but hopefully he has not judged yet. Otherwise, I am doomed.
