Of Ghosts and God
Of Ghosts and God
Ghosts do not exist,
A bold statement I know but true.
Although I cannot prove it,
The onus of proof lies with you.
Some people are very sensitive,
See things that just aren’t there.
I’ve never seen a ghost,
Never will to be honest and fair.
Show me the absolute proof,
I’ll apologise, admit I’d been naïve.
It’s natural to have a fear of fear,
But of Ghosts, I cannot believe.
God does not exist,
A bold statement I know but true.
Although I cannot prove it,
The onus of proof lies with you.
I respect your beliefs and faith,
Don’t scorn me because I have none.
God does not speak to me,
and he won’t this world he forgot.
Show me the absolute proof,
I’ll apologise and walk by your side.
What is your origin of devotion,
Don’t let simplicity be your guide.
I apologise if my words hurt,
I don’t see things the way you do.
If I ever see a ghost for myself,
Then likely I’d believe in God too.
