Of a Song
A song may ask to find your heart
or give your heart away
It could perhaps, be what you need
to face another day
A song may lift a heavy load
and send it to the sky
Or help you know the way you feel
and know the reasons why
For beauty known by other names
a song can’t be dismissed
To serenade your velvet dreams
as though you’ve just been kissed
Yet when a tear maybe the cure
for righting what is wrong
There is no potion, pill or drink
as mighty as the song
