Ode To No One

the colors started to fade
the more i listened to the waves
you knew since forever
but i only just found out
that things grow colder
as they increase in age
so what have we done
where have we gone since we disapeared
your eyes have fluttered closed
and i’m wandering alone
what have we done
to make everything die
it took root in my brain
and we were never the same again
slowly ate away
at memory
and my mind, never fully formed
made up of chloroform
began to slip
into insanity
and its a shame
i’ll never know your name
‘cause i forgot
and we’re the same
