Ode To My Love

I'm happy for once in a long time, 
Finally, happiness is mine.
It's been a roller coaster,
but it's my time to fly.

I'm ready, 
ready to try.
I'm ready to stay happy
this time, forever sappy.

I will never say never again.
The worst lie I've told myself 
is that I'd never be happy again,
now I can say it in good health.

I'm happy to be ordinary,
to have that slice of normalcy
that you have to offer,
there's nothing that can stop her.

I'm ready to take the leap,
no more secrets to keep.
I'm sorry for every lie I've told
there's been more sorry's than you can hold.

I love the love you give,
you give me the will to live.
Your forgiveness pushes me to forgive myself,
not to put my needs up on a shelf.


You push me to forgive myself for my past,
this love is going to be my last.
I'm here to be the best me,
I'm ready to work for us to be free.

My family is my worth,
this is our marriage's rebirth.
You lift me up,
you fill up my empty cup.

You rise me above the pain,
you've shown me all there is to gain
You rise me above the hurt,
you've helped me learn.

You do the next right thing,
to honor the vow of our rings.
You turned me into a believer,
you could never leave her.

You are my rock,
you have the key to my lock.
Without you I'd fly away,
with you I'm here to stay.
