October Moon
gently beaming just above
you tempt me with your glowing charm
and stir within these thoughts of love
while sending softly fear’s alarm.
and on this late October eve
with chill of autumn in the air
while in the shadows soft you weave
a decadence, with face so fair.
your softness shown and love implied
that tangles softly round my flesh
while baiting passions far and wide
I can’t resist your lunar mesh.
surrounded by this tempting glow
as golden hue caresses skin
my wanton passions overflow
a captive of this carnal sin.
now my resistance growing weak
with tempting beauty glowing bright
she leaves me so I cannot speak
this mistress of the autumn night.
