Oceanside

Colored sails dot the horizon fire-orange flecks dip and rise in Turquoise palettes, sherbet skies... Demigods lounge g-stringed in ocean-front's warm sands Bulging their muscles Glistening their sweat ~ Tan, the sole tint they're aware of as yet

I am visualizing it, and ready for it, in this winter mix of ice and sleet that is keeping us out of school a seventh day. I am smiling too. Love the imagery, and the whimsy.

love the imagery and the humour in the second stanza, a delight to read - there will be no Adonis's on our beach today gale force winds and stormy seas!:-) hugs Jan xx

Your comment absolutely floors me, Jan! I've looked a number of times for the humor in the 2nd stanza and just can't find it: I'm either blind or have no sense of humor, I guess! LOL. Thanks for clueing me in here, my friend! :) gw

Funny, how this one is perceived---by everyone but me. I wrote it in such a serious mood. (Can you believe it?). LOL! ~ gw
