Strange gray island
Cloaked
In salty haze
Dead slate clouds
Falling
Over pitching blackness
A hint of song
Carried
Across haunted swells
I can barely
Make
Out the sweet lyrics
Glowing with warmth
Skin
Kissed by eternity
A lover promised
Finally
From a ghostly paradise
Insane beauty
Reaching
Out to me
Liquid desolation separates
Her
From me
Must cross
Now
Ahh! There she is!
Succulent treasure
Singing (wailing)
Beckoning (demanding)
Promising (bargaining)
Drawing (pulling)
Jagged rocks looming….
Coming closer…
…in focus now…

comforting (incarcerating)
giving (taking)
