Oceans of Tears

Teardrops never change the past
Though many tears are spilled
They sometimes offer some relief
Though no one's ever healed

Our tears become the oceans
If you've wondered where they go
They fill the streams and rivers
Each time they begin to flow

Our tears are never silent
As they're streaming down our face
They always demand attention
As they leave their hiding place

Each teardrop tells a story
Maybe of a love that didn't last
They can even be a memory
A misplaced vision from the past

Tears indeed can give relief to a burdened or sad soul. Only love can heal. Great write, thought provoking. Thanks for sharing. Caroline.

Excellent, Larry. Indeed, tears cannot change the past, even though they may provide some relief. Enjoyed the way ou explained what becomes of tears -- filling the oceans, streams and rivers. Great poem! Love, Carolyn
