Oceans Apart
Oceans apart, I feel not whole
My heart is missing, it lies with one soul
She guards it true and treasures it's place
To her it means more than just a face
Across the sea I do the same
I hold the heart that bears her name
I hold it gently, and treasure it so
For it belongs to my loving doe
Though we are apart, we are close
Our love is one that draws us near
A love more precious than the purest rose
One that makes the storms of life clear
She is the siren that has lured me close
And I the sailor, now away from my boat
Her sweet voice a song that no one knows
And I sit there in my trance, on the clouds I now float
She is my angel that keeps watch over me
And I the shepherd, quietly watching my flock
Her company is something that fills me with glee
By the end I can only smile, unable to talk
She is my mermaid that no longer eludes me
And I the fisherman, silently gazing at the waves
Her beauty is something that has set my heart ablaze
Without her in my life I simply cannot be
Now I am closer, easier to see
And our love stronger still
No longer separated by the sea
The hole in my chest starting to fill
I am closer to her, closer than I have ever been
And I treasure my gift even more, knowing it's true worth
She is the the world to me
And I to her
