Ocean Memmories
standing before an ocean
gleaming wide and vast
if only i could see past it
forever it would last
if only as each second leavs us
it wasnt called the past
i remember thinking that very thought
as a calm wave fallowed the last
a ripple in the calm, blue sea
was present in my midst
from when i tossed a seashell in
but the sea-foam it had missed
my head was turned to a far off shore
and i felt so still and serene
with a gentle wind blowing my damp hair back
anything else would seem obscene
as gulls flew by, frozen forever in time
their squacking i still can hear
presenting a sort of rythmic rhyme
that whispered in my ear
