Ocean Blue

By Laura

Demons wait patiently in the silence of my mind
Waiting for the days when skies are grey and tides are in decline
Today they dance upon these shores cause I am truly flying blind
They fill my lungs with ocean blue, a truly favorite shade of mine

I look out past these crimson tides in hopes of spotting friendly sails
But no one comes to hear my call; a hollow signal of distress
The frequencies I'm sending out are shattered by the coming hail
My favorite shade, that ocean blue, to feel it's final, sweet carress
