Obstacles

Life is a one way road; So true
A road filled with many obstacles that seem to come out of the blue
They catch me by surprise and grin
Put lines on my face that don't seem to mend
Gray hairs on my head and wisdom in my mind
As I struggle to overcome one at a time

Each obstacle on the road tells a tale
Some closer that others and yea I've stumble and fell
But a crowd of prints join mine in the dust
Showing love from the people in whom I trust
So with an extended hand and a heart felt smile
I put one foot in front of the other and try for another mile
