Obsess

Turned off the light,
But doesn’t feel right,
I do it again and again,
How many times has it been,
If I don’t get it right,
Will my family die? Will I?
Walking down the street,
Same damn feeling,
I have to repeat,
Turn around, go back,
This time don’t step on the crack,
A horrible thought drifts through my mind,
For forgiveness, Make up a ritual,
Do it twenty times.
Maybe with my hands or my feet,
I’m embarrassed
so it must be discreet,
Life is exhausting,
when things don’t feel right,
Constantly repeating,
and keeping it out of sight,
I try and stop, to just move on,
But the feeling’s just too strong.
