Observation

The devil invented religion
To turn paradise into hell
And up to my last observation
He seemed to be doing quite well

there's Irishmen killing each other
Over methods of bending to pray
Arabs are suicide bombing
They think that they're getting away

Polluting the garden of Eden
Without even stopping to think
Lost in our own procreation
'til something's beginning to stink

Is everyone blinded by faith?
Or too tightly wrapped up in greed
Busy extending their need
Or caught up afloat in the flow

To feel to hear and to smell
The brimstone stench of the well
What did a devious demon do
No wonder they call it a pew
