Oblivious

The present generation spend most of their time staring at a screen. Either at work at play also inbetween.

John, many of us have noticed this downside aspect of the electronic and data revolution. It's hard to imagine how this will end well. Maybe it will be something out of George Orwell's 1984. There's a lot of brainwashing going on. We might be closer than we think or perhaps past farther than thought.

What a write you have here. The phones/computers are Not good for the kids. No Phones In School Should Be The Rule. We had a play life/they do Not. Hate to see what they will turn into. Only the parents can stop it but they will Not..... Have a blessed day writing away...............

Young kids I knoe, meaning 18 or younger are noy doing that. What I see is ADULTS doing as you say and blaming kids. They spend hours on Facebook lsocial media, X, poetry soup you name it. Cancel I personally don’t like cell phones and one sentence replies or emails. People think they’re gonna disappear if they write one sentence.. what’s wrong with the paragraph? LOL no I don’t like the Internet age at all. People can’t even stay on the telephone longer than 10 minutes.. its sick. Pangie.

Hi Pangie, I've never been a fan of Facebook or Twitter, I rather keep my private life private.

Dear John, so true and couldnt have said it any better, todays generation, we see so many finding distractions from reality. Youve delivered one that speaks the truth in few words so well. Pleasure always reading your work. Sending you light always

Thank you Ink, it's become a joke, seeing children on their way to school engrossed in the cell phones.

Brother John, folk spend a lot of time on their iPads too, young or old. When I got mine and found there was poetry sites one could take part in, I was delighted, at last there was a way to get one’s poems out there… Sis Beryl

Hi sister Beryl, I'm referring to the old days when we never had mobile phones, now days people seemed glued to their phones, oblivious to who's around them, hence so many being stolen, I would never walk down a street in London starring at a screen.
