Oblivion
Oblivion's a lonely place,
Where no one wants to be.
No ladder of success to climb,
Or bathe in victory.
Forgotten swirling mists of time,
A lock without a key.
Where out of sight it will remind,
No hope just misery.
Unworthiness without a thought,
That stifles any plea.
It neither recollects the past,
Nor how it used to be.
Insouciance with no concern,
It's vacant stares agree.
Oblivious, how it disregards,
It's silent cruelty.
