O' Lord, My God
For sins I did, I won't deny,
O' Lord, my God, please hear my cry,
I face hard times; I did do wrong,
Murder my crime; I'm weak, not strong.
Yet innocent, killed not that guy,
O' Lord, my God, please hear my cry,
A black man has what they call rights,
I've lynch mobs in the lands of whites.
A white man who loves Christ, ally,
O' Lord, my God, please hear my cry,
White man tries to save a black man,
He is guilty, deemed by the clan.
Judge set me free; I thank the skies,
O' Lord, my God, tears fill my eyes,
With thanks filled heart, exemplify,
Sad, bigotry turns a blind eye.
