O K Corral
they say i need
a hook but i don't
have a line
i'm just sitting
by the side of
the pond
tossing rocks
in and watching
time lines ripple
))))) ))) )) )
i taught my
first wife how
to skip a stone
across water like
quick jesus on
the meniscus
of stepping
stones in
steps
she played
in amazement at
the holy gracefullness
that they each
and every
one did
the
same
again and again...
though he a carpenter
in a land without
wood would
have most
likely
hung
on a
cross
of his own
construction
instructed by his
stepfather to step up
make a stand
make them
stop their
hands in
mid
motion
as if floating
putting together palms
and fingers held in prayer
unaware that they're there
not in
a church
nor a chapel
that there's no
steeple for
the people
or sheeple
together to
flock and
after all
that's
what the
preacher
calls
them
barking
at the
pulpit
culprits
