Nurses

An understanding heart and
a gentle touch
To those who are sick means
so much
A nurse takes an oath to do just
that and more
To be that light that shines
upon the core
Everyone deserves a kind
hearted soul
To take care of the patient
and family as a whole
To sit and listen with
an open mind
To leave the negative words
of sickness behind
A nurse with a smile brings
hope into the room
To shed light on darkness
and that of gloom
A nurse understands how hard
work is a must in life
Through long days and nights
and tears and strife
When sickness fades and
we see their face at the end
of the day
A nurse can then feel in their
heart that they've paved the way
GOD anoints us to be a
Nurse with a caring heart
If we ever lose that, the job
of Nurse we must depart

Having witnessed the brilliant nurses who cared for my very sick husband and supported me I will forever be thankful for them. My daughter is in her first qualifying year as a nurse and loving the job. Bless good nurses everywhere. Great write Tammy.
