Numb

Sometimes I find
That the thoughts deep in my mind
Makes concentrating becomes a little tough
At times makes it rough
To do the things I need
Doubt plants it's seed
Anger tries to gain the ground
Peace of mind can't be found
I try hard not to succumb
Things seem to make me feel numb
I feel not so sure
I seek a cure
I try to lower my chin
Try hard not to give in
Surrender to the powers that be
But I fight to be free
I know there is a light
Just have to keep doing right
Don't let it get me down
For in darkness I fear I would drown
control, I need to gain
Some restrain
Know what it is I feel
Just isn't real
That's the deal
