Now You Know the Rest of the Story

Outline of a figure in the clouds
Evil eagle on right shoulder
Angel archer behind aiming at the evil bird...

When we are unaware, an angel is always there
Following to protect from harm
How many times a day does things not go your way?
If they had happened as you wished,
Doom would have been your fate.

Praise God it is not too late
Praise Him for the Angels unaware!

Once long years ago, our son-in-law
Was late coming to pick up the grandson
We had to go to classes at Mercer in Macon
My husband was just so upset....

We was running about ten minutes late
When we got to a place where there was
An old homeplace with two huge oak trees..
Which were right on the edge of the road
There was a traffic backup and we had to wait.

I am thinking there must have been a wreck
No not a wreck ~~One of those trees had been blown over
It lay across the road where if we had been there maybe ten minutes earlier
Well! You know the rest of the story.....

(Andrea, the first part is what I saw in the clouds)

WoW! Nothing happens by accident. God has a rhyme andd a reason for everything and if He is not the one who caused what happened, well, He is in the business of making silk purses out of sows ears. Great job here. God Bless, JB

Sara, there's no doubt an angel was watching over you. As you said, just minutes, even seconds, and you could have been under that tree. My physical therapist says I shouldn't spend much time sitting at a computer. Getting well just takes priority now. Four weeks of PT and maybe it'll help the 10 bulging discs that are pinching nerves. Love, Carolyn

I have always wondered about that. there is a reason you have to stop for the red light, or the phone rings just as you are walking out the door, as Andrea said below. this was a very creative piece enjoyed it. thank you for commenting on Clouds Touching the Ground.

Just read what I said down there and I did not expess it well. But I think you can get my drift. We can miss an accident by the fraction of a second just for leaving our house a second later!

Thanks for telling me the rest of that story about your little vision, Sara. I hope there is an angel archer out there for me somewhere, and yes, i have thought so many times about this other scenario you have painted. LIke what if you were the one to be hit by a crash if you had left your house just one second earlier and then you later find youself behind the victim of a terrible crash. LIfe is that way! Very strange. I enjoyed your narrative. Luv, Andrea
