Now When It Snows
It was cold
When we first met
And you made it feel like home
You were my safety net
And I wanted to show you
But you turned away
you left me in this cold
i had to learn the hard way
And now when it snows
I think of you
Holding my hand
And warming my heart like you do
And now when it rains
I look at the ground
The puddles reflect me
And I see you somehow
And now when the sun shines
I hide away
You taught me to bottle it up
And to never be brave
And now when it snows
I feel my heart break
Each snowflake that falls
Is like another day
I had to live without you
And live with the pain
Now not knowing
Where you are
I hope you’re in the cold
Shivering hard
No I don’t hate you
But how could I
I spent years loving you
And I don’t even know why
You were just cruel
And distant and mean
The things that you said
You didn’t mean them to me
And I hope you wonder
About me
And where I’m going
And if I lose sleep
If you’re wondering
Well I do
But I’ve never been anywhere
Colder than you
