Now What?

I'm awaiting the sudden word.
I'm awaiting the sudden news.
That can either lift my spirits,
or give me the actual blues.

About this country, I serve.
About this country, I love.
Hoping from the powers that be,
I'm what their thinking of. 

When making these decisions,
with so many risks on the line.
Hoping they see the actual lives,
affected by this sad tragic design
