Now My Wings Can Soar In the Sky
For years I was beaten far down
His words and face always a frown
And through it all I asked him why?
Now my wings can soar in the sky
He said he was sorry to me
But it was plain for all to see
The track of the tears I did cry
Now my wings can soar in the sky
He blamed me and my family
I know it was him, verily
No longer do I need to try
Now my wings can soar in the sky
It’s taken years to heal my wound
To see my life is full of boon
And finally, away I fly
Now my wings can soar in the sky
