Now and Then

Now And Then

My heart still thinks about you – Now and Then --
My arms still want to hold you – Now and Then –
And, even though I know you’re gone,
Your mem’ry just keeps hanging on
And I still think about you – Now and Then.

My friends all ask about you – Now and Then.
I tell them I still see you – Now and Then.
 Though you have someone to take my place,
When I close my eyes I see your face –
And your mem’ries, they still haunt me – Now and Then.
 
My heart keeps on rememb’ring
How much I loved you so –
And though I know it’s over –
My heart just won’t let go.

And, when I think about you – Now and Then.
 I always see a love that should have been.
My life will never be the same
‘Cause I’m always haunted by your name –
Each time I think about you – Now and Then.
Yes, I still think about you, Now and Then.

It helps us to learn from our mistakes and make better decisions in the future. Great work on this poem, it flows nicely!

I haven't really promoted them. Nashville is a tough town and you generally have to move there and pay your dues..... I have works published in anthologies that's about the extent of it...Jake
