Now and Then

I think about you now and then
where you are and how you've been
seems that all I ever do
is long to be with you
there's no use in trying to pretend

yes I think about you now and then
those precious days of way back when
ah but how the time does fly-
how it leaves you high and dry
but maybe one day I'll see you again

those romantic fires we kindled
nowadays they seem to dwindle
and the memories fly like feathers in the wind-

and I think about you all the time
you're in my song and in my rhyme
sentimental, yes I know
but then you've always known me so
and let me tell you, that suits me just fine.
