Roy Pett Poet Couplet

Now and Forever

Dedication, compatibility must be the answer dear
our love has never diminished,  grew year on  year,

We have cared and nursed each other through sickness 
our bond is so strong it gives our lives a richness,

We’ve had thirty four glorious years hoping for more
our love will ensure it will be at least another thirty four,

Any dark thoughts of living without you is unbearable 
you are my life as I am yours, anything else is undesirable,

We have changed physically and mentally over time
my dear you are still the one, I’m yours, you are mine,

We both know the inevitable will end our life’s session
yet we know eventually we will join again in heaven.
