Mark Hughes Poet Narrative

Now Alone

What is lonely?
It walks with you daily
not always apparent or known.
Does drift its tone on each day,
lacking certainty of just how to feel.

This life changing situation
presents awkward complexities
new challenges and how to cope.

You, my source of strength
axis for my universe
swept away without return.

My world spins, seems no control
for it's a fact,
that I am now alone.

You are spot on about the writing, as stated before, it is cathartic! Otherwise I believe my sanity would be compromised! I really do appreciate your continued support and the kind words you extend to me. Did you also lose a spouse thru illness, or via another route?
