Nothings Ever Lost
Let's make believe that nothing really matters
Let's just keep doing everything we've done
Two broken hearts in pieces life has shattered
Let's keep believing nothings really wrong
You say we would have rocked this world together
If we'd have been a younger you and me
But the world won't know the time we spend together
Cos Nothing's ever Lost, if its a memory . . .
I don't know what it is that's kept us friends
But I believe its just the closest thing I know
To all the tales I've ever heard that Love is
So friend of friends don't ever let me go
We set the stage and conjure up a dreamland
Your smoke and mirrors fade each time you're near
It's just a world of magic when I'm with you
But it hurts like Hell each time you disappear
Chai Latte lips embrace your plastic coffee cup
My heart skips as you fill its Begging bowl
You flick a fallen black-hair strand, your eyes light up
Green eyes that look inside my very soul
So let's make believe that hearts were never shattered
Let's keep on doing everything we've done
The world won't care and nothing really matters
If we make believe that nothings really wrong
Come tell me how we'll rock this world together
Pretend we're just a younger you and me
The world won't care if we spend our time together
Convince me this is how things ought be
If Love is change, then change is for the better
And NOTHINGS EVER LOST, If It's A Memory . . .
