Nothing New

And I threw it all away
Beginning perhaps of life anew
No more be there no yesterdays
Yet to begin... if only I knew

A lesser self, a bigger dream
Lessen with love, worsen with hate
A world to only seem
An otherness in all to simply await

And I am to know but lesser
Simply this way to let remain
A relief for things be a little better
Yet... might I simply have maintain?

Needs and wants to place aside
Worthy of freedom, worthy of nothing
Demeaning be life to survive to let die
For nothing in truth is everything

Thrown were things once own
Straying into life anew
Perhaps only in dreams have I a home
And to stay... if only I knew
