Nothing Lost

Reaching for the same
The different ending of me
Every path I claim
One more ending to be

Repenting for my sin
The blind eye that became you
For everything I’ve been
My sacrifice still fails to be true

Returning to a place
The feeling is all that I knew
The number on a face
Another one that couldn’t get me through

Losing everything
Never even took me that long
In loneliness I’ll sing
I’ll throw away to write a song

Nothing for my lies
But something for my fall
The consequence of my smile
Is another marking on my wall
