Nothing Left To Say

When you can’t have what you want
And your stomach is in a knot.
When you can’t seem to forget
And you wish it was just regret.
When you can’t embrace
Someone’s lovely face.
When you can’t completely blot out
All the questions and the doubt.
When you can’t seem to find
That moment to pause in time.
When it happened so fast
But it didn’t and couldn't last.
when you know it's just you
and you have to press on through.
When the truth burns your skin
and you have to lose to begin.
when there is nothing left to say
and you are sick of feeling this way.
when a memory becomes a bother
and you have to run even farther.
when it all comes crumbling down
There is only one way up from off the ground.
