Nothing Changes If
I dream of a place
Where nobody cares
Where nobody listens
Cuz nobody hears
Where people are selfish
And nobody shares
thoughts and emotions
fueled by ideas
a place with no tears
cuz nobody cries
where nobody sees
through X-ed out dead eyes
where demons wear medals
and collars of white
laugh at the needy
when they’re out of sight
then plead with the voters
please elect us again
for we are much better
than those “other” men
the split in their tongues
their venomous lies
axe murderers pleading
before the blood dries
It wasn’t our fault
we did all that we dared
we even pretended
that we really cared
Perhaps we’d be better
Electing some strangers
Because nothing changes
If nothing changes…..
