Nothing Can Be Taken Away
Walk with me into the halls of remembrance,
the caverns of experience,
the corridors of lessons learned.
Is it too much for you dear child,
to observe your thoughts, your actions,
your hopes, your dreams, your ambition
being locked away, taken from you?
Your feeling of an anxious longing.
Or maybe you should peer through the dark,
observe the glimpse of light stolen from you?
Take flight, take action, build anew
your ambition to keep you fighting.
And as your ambition carries you,
create the dreams of redemption
to take back what the thief hath concealed.
Develop hope to sustain your dreams
and aid your ambition in glorious flight.
It is this action being reborn,
by assets rightly earned,
which propels the thought to realize
that all the gifts given, then taken,
hath no need of rescue.
They remain merely to be made
by the hero who with new knowledge
can forever remake anew.
