Nothing Belongs To Us
We were two pathetic fools
who believed in fables,
but our fable wasn't real;
oh, can these deep wounds heal?
We thought everything would be really fine,
we didn't have a plan, we weren't that wise;
nothing belongs to us, not even memories,
nothing belongs to us, and we regret all lies!
We burned kisses one August night, hot was the fire;
now, we look at each other without showing a surprise!
Lips are meant to be kissed,
arms are meant to be held;
we are two islands unreachable and cold...
we won't break the silence with a word!
Nothing belongs to us, this is very sad;
nothing belongs to us, we threw away all we had!
To be one soul takes a strong commitment,
true lovers always stay together to avoid regret!
