Not Worth the Pain
Black rage searing through the shadows in her eyes
Lip caught with teeth to stop the force of her cries.
Thinking life itself as a sin
Debate of doing herself in
She struggles to speak
The words of her heart
But with tears marking her cheek, she feels the weak fall apart
She loved this boy
This is true
But he played her like a toy
Which she would never do,
She’d never tear his soul apart
Never rip and destroy his heart
Now she knows some loves are not always the best
As her heart echoes in her chest
She vows until she’s in her eternal rest
To never settle for anything less
Than a love so true and best
