Not So Good Morning

I dread the feeling of having to wake,
Knowing the life I left behind, my heart breaks.

I wish to touch those people and be there with them, always.
I wish my dreams were where I spent my days.

I can be anything and everyone I want,
I could watch my heart break and get a new one.

Even time stops when I want it.
Even wings grow when I'm tired of walking.

I've spent times there being super heroes,
I've listened to my name in clearer echoes.

I can go for weeks, months, years without dining,
But then all that gets taken by these mornings.

The words are like daggers to my mind, "good morning"
I had hoped to sleep, and sleep, and sleep, and not put up with realistic anything.

But then life goes on, lives go on from since every morning.
