Not Real

your light is what
i was never meant to see.
your shadow i can't remember.
in a blink, i change forms, shape.
nothing can hold me here.
cry if you must, but think!

your kiss is too open
and your words surreal.
can't help coming into
focus. it's not real.

don't hold on.
i can't hold you near.
count when i'm not there.
it's not about when we're together.
reach for the last straw
that holds you here.

your kiss is too open
and your words surreal.
can't help coming into
focus. it's not real.
