Not Me But You

So many tears that I cried, wondering how our love had died
Couldn't figure out what to do, thinking that it was me not you
My self confidence torn to shreds, love is so many colors of reds
I blamed myself for things gone bad, a love so strong I thought we had
But you left me standing here, the future to come with nothing but fear
It took some time with lots of thought, to realize what I have really got
I got a future without you; God gave me the strength to know what to do
He made me see the things unknown, through the years I have grown
I now know the reasons why, the reasons why you said goodbye
For it was you who was wrong, now it’s me who is so strong
I was not the one to blame; I was not the one who lost the game
I actually won when you said goodbye, I no longer want to die
For you are the one who has lost, you are the one to pay the cost
For we were not meant to be, I now know it was you not me
I am worth it without a doubt; I now know what I’m about
The problem was not me but you; I just hope you know it too
A promising future I now hold, I’m glad I left you in the cold
For you are the one who has truly lost, and you are the one to pay the cost
I’m truly glad you said goodbye, since my soul mate has just said “hi’
