Not Just in Part
Dear God I have prayer for you
And I am hoping you won’t turn me down
I know I have prayed for lots of things
But this prayer is real and sound
I need some understanding
About the way my life has been
I am not very happy right now
The last time I can’t say when
I need to get some wisdom
I think a little will go quite far
I have some decisions to make
With wisdom I will know what they are
And if you wouldn’t mind too much
Compassion would help me a lot
I could decide things I need to do
With kindness and honest thought
The last thing I would like to have
Is the capacity to find true love
I have searched my entire life for it
I believe it will come from above
This is my prayer to you Dear Lord
I am asking with all my heart
I know it would make me better
All around and not just in part
