Not Gonna Change

You judge me for beileving in what I do

But here's the difference between me and you

You say I'm in the wrong

But what makes you right?

You can't tell me that

You always try to fix me

But you don't fix yourself

What makes you better than me?

What makes you the one who's perfect.

No one is so why do you think you are?

Why do you put me down...

To lift yourself up?

Why can you do no wrong?

You crush others

To build yourself

Because you are unhappy

So you make others that way

But what help does that do?

It just creates enmies and fights

You say I need a change...

But I'm not going to

Not for you

Or anyone else

Because I know what is right for me

Even if soceity says it's wrong

I love this, Brittany... I can totally relate to this, because I am currently going through something similar. Someone wants me to change for them and I am trying to stay strong for me. Nicely done, I look forward to reading more of your poetry! --Katie
