Not Eerie In the Moonlight
The house did not look eerie in the moon light.
It was Halloween, but I did not feel one bit of fright.
We knocked on the door with a rat-a-tat-pat.
Whose there? Yelled a voice. It was raspy and phat.
Trick or treat! We all yelled. There must have been five.
There was a chain rumble and then man alive!
A ghostly figure floated out of that wooden door.
We don’t have enough treats! He yelled. BRING ME MORE!
We scattered and screamed. I was the loudest of all.
A shrieking woman was at least six foot three tall.
You won’t need more treats! I yelled at the ghost.
We were running for our lives, away from the host.
